Remote maintenance can be enabled by the exchange of data between l&HAS at the supervised premises and suitable equipment at a remote location.

Remote access should

  1. be recorded in the CIE event record,

  2. be time limited,

  3. not generate unwanted alarms.

Any faults found during remote maintenance should be reported to the user/client as soon as practicable and corrective and any other actions initiated in accordance with the prior written agreement between the alarm company and the client.
